Step 1 – Design
The video below gives step-by-step instructions to design your first CNC project, a wooden coaster with your initial carved into it. You will need the Carbide Create software (available on Mac and PC), digital calipers, and a roughly 4in x 4in blank coaster (found on Amazon).
Step 2 – Create Toolpath
The video below explains the second part of the CNC process, creating the toolpath. You will only need the Carbide Create software (available on Mac and PC) for this step.
Step 3 – Running the Job
The video below explains the final step in creating your first CNC project. You will need the Carbide Motion software (available on Mac and PC), the same 4in x 4in blank coaster from step one, a square end mill (tool #102 on the Nomad), safety glasses, double-sided tape, and the safety checklist in the back of the Nomad manual.
